To motivate employees, one could deliver eloquent speeches to the assembled team about the ‘existential importance of human capital for a company.’ One could pay bonuses, offer pats on the back, or hand out treats. <\/p>\n\n

Alternatively, one can demonstrate to employees that their daily work for clients achieves things far greater than they might ever have realized.<\/p>\n\n

That they are not merely designing technology, processing steel, assembling components, selling engines, and maintaining systems \u2013 but rather enabling their clients to save lives, secure harvests, develop new land, reliably move people and goods, and safeguard prosperity. <\/p>\n\n
